The existence of the multiple solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations arenumerically investigated on a flow in a container composed of two cotmter-rotating disks and a cylindrical sidewall. Computations are carried out underan asstunption of an incompressible, purely axisymmetric flow without using vonKarman's similarity hypothesis. Results show that the ntunerical solution istmique for parameters of the initial angular velocity, the viscosity and the sidewallconditions. The unique solution becomes different from the multiple solutionsfor the small Ekman number.
