A Stugy of the Anomaly at E_<c.m.>=13.7MeV in the ^<12>C+ ^<16>O System

The anomaly at 13.7 MeV (c.m.) in the "C-I-"O system has been observedfor the elastic scattering and the "C("0, a)"Mg reaction but not for the inelasticscattering. The angular distributions of the elastic scattering showed backwardangle anomaly (BAA) and art analysis by usi?tg the parity-dependent opticalpotential model reproduces this BAA fairly well. A resonance analysis concerningthis anomaly indicates that the most probable value of J' of this resonance is 8".A discussion of the properties of this resonance is given.
