A two-din?ensional viscous flow induced by sinusoidal wavy ntotion of antnfinite wall is considered for Revnolds numbers which are of the order of max-nitude both less axtd nreater than unit>z. It is found that the incluced meant stead>'flow is rrorortional to the ratio 4n'a'/L'(a/L<<1 ), where a and l. are the arnrlitudeand the wavelensth of the wavv wall, resrectivel>'. It is also fourxd that the steadvflow velocitv arrroa?:hes to a constant value in the form of damtced oscillationwith respect to the dj.stance from the wall.
