In terms of the symmetry of single-walled carbon nanotubes, we present a two-atom unit cell model to study the lattice dynamics and the thermal properties. Different behavior of size dependence of specific heat is found at different temperature. At low temperature, it is found that the specific heat is proportional to the tubule diameter. However, at high temperature the specific heat is inversely proportional to the square of the diameter. The fit for specific heat at 300 K is C_V = 686 69 - 90/d^2 (J/Kg K).
