Crossover of Spin Correlations on Pt_<100-x>Fe_x (16 ≦ X ≦ 25) Alloys

Magnetic structures of Pt_<100> _xFe_x (X = 16, 18,24 and 25) alloys were studied by means of neutron elastic and inelastic scattering. Non-collinear antiferromagnetic structure is experimentally verified for the ground stale of the stoichiomctric alloy Pt_3Fe. The antiferromagnetic phase transition below T_N inPt_3Fe alloy is considered to be one of the crossover points of the antiferromagnetic spin correlations which show successive change towards the original point of the reciprocal lattice with increasing Fe concentration in the wide concentration range of the Pt-Fe system.
