• Experimental data on the half-life measurerments of the first 2+ excited state in even-even deformed nuclei have been compiled. Well defined gradual decrease in the value of the ratio of the theoretical half-life to the experimentally measured half-life is observed with the increase in the value of the nonaxiality parameter 'γ_0' of Davydov and Filppov theory, which determines the deviations of the shape of the nucleus from axial symmetry.
