• In the slave-boson mean-field approximation to the two-dimensional t-J model, the RPA spin excitation spectrum Im X(q, ω) shows the diagonal incommensurate magnetic peaks that have fourfold symmetry around (π, π). It is found in this paper that such fourfold symmetry can be broken drastically by the inclusion of a weak c-axis dispersion. This finding is discussed on a possible relevance to the recently observed `one-dimensional-like' diagonal incommensurate magnetic peak in La_<2-x>Sr_xCuO_4.
