In the analysis of orthonornual wavelet, standard definitions of physical quantities such asenergy in wavelet space are not free frona spati?rl oscills'ttion intrinsic to wavelet base function,i.e., phase in contrast to the Foturier analysis. 1VIoreover the energy sutaauaaed over a scale is tuottranslationally invariant. To retnove the phase, we propose a kind of spatial averaging in termsof extended contintrotrs xvavelet. Tlae translational invariance of' energy is recovered by naeans of'this averaging naethod. This rnethod is also applied to the transfer f'trnctions which were definedin terrms of' orthonorrraal wavelet in the previotrs p2lpCI [Plays. Rev. E 52 (1995) 6189],
