We study ntrunerically, the collision and self-replica,Lion of pulses in a reaction-diffusion systemof' the activator-inhibitor type. We established the following new properties of pulse dynamics.Two propagating ptrlses restmlt in a localized oscillatory domain after a head-on collision. Howeverthis domain is a transient one and disappears after one period leaving new pvrlses propagatingoutward. In another parameter reginae, a traveling pulse breaks into a pair of pulses propagatingin opposite directions.
