A new method is proposed which slnould lead to correct equations of motion for rigid bodies andprovide improved numerical stability and precision for computer simulation studies of classicalmolecules. New angular velocities ex and f3 are introduced for generating an orthogonalmatrix enabling the transformation between principal angular velocities and time derivativescox, 0 and f3. Time derivative of Exuler angle</>is represented by a linear combination of new angu-tar velocities. This transformation and linear combination allows us to remove the singularitiesand spuriovus behavior near 0 : 7T'/2 and to prodtrce flue trajectory of three angular velocitiescontinuously. The method introduced here reveals that tire structure and properties of diatomicmolecules are independent of the valvue of 7, which denotes the ratio of 13 to I? of a molecule.Application of this method to diatounic liquids such as nitrogerr enables time variation of angularvelocities and their continuity to be described.
