An analysis of thermal expansion of Li(H, D) systems up to meltirtg temperature has been per-forrned using the theory of anharmonic lattice. The high tennperature contribution to expansivitydue to thermal defects is evaluated. An extension of the stvrdy to Na(H, D) systems limiting theupper temperature to 350 K even where very little or no data are available led us to predict thehitherto unknown lattice constants at O K for the crystals. The tetnperature dependence of theelastic constants for Li(H, D) systems up to 920 K (350 K for lNa(H, D)) has also been evaluatedand compared with other available calculations,
