K-Shell Vacancy Production Cross Sections for Se, Br, Rb and Y Induced by 1.5 to 9.0 MeV ^3He Ions

The K X-ray production cross sections have been measured for Se, l3r, Rb and Y (inthe atomic number range Z=34-39) using 1.5-9.0 MeV'lle ions as incident beams.Results of the measurements are cornpared to the predictions of the first Born andECPSSR ionization theories using single-hole fluorescence yield. The IECPSSR theorywas found to be in better agreemexat with the measurements than the first Borntheory. From observed data we also extracted the K.-to-K,. X-ray intensity ratios andcompared these values with those obtained previously by others.
