In the metallic small particle, the spin relaxation on surface mainly contributes tothe conduction electron spin resonance (CESR) Iinewidth because a small particle hasa large rate of surface to volume. We can measure the spin relaxation probability onsurface of a metal by investigating the size dependence of residual linewidths ofCESR at low temperature. By this method, we obtained the spin relaxation probabil-ity e=(2.3'f0.3)X 10 ' and e=(6.6S0.5) XIO-' for Mg and Al respectively.[spin relaxation probability, surface relaxation, surface, interface, small particle, ll CESRlll
