• State-selective differential cross sections for one-electron capture processes havebeen measured at 0 and 3 degree angles by mearns of the translational spectroscopytechnique. Within the scattering angle range studied, the Ar "(3p') 'P and 'D statescontribute to the one-electron capture process, wltereas the 'S state does not. A spin-changing de-excitation process, 'D-+'P, has also been observed with considerable in-tensity.
