Infrared active lattice modes of solid N.0 were precisely measured in temperaturerange from 1.8 to 130K. Remarkable temperature dependence of the absorptionbandwidths was obtained and explained by means of the perturbation theory of theanharmonic crystal. The results suggest ways in which the lattice vibration energy isdissipated. No information related to suggestion of the dipole ordering was found bythe spectroscopic studies.
