The slow motion of a small sphere between two concentric circular cylindersfilled with a viscous incompressible fluid is investigated theoretically on the basisof the Stokes equation. The force experienced by the sphere translating in anarbitrary direction is determined up to the first order effect of the walls. Theseveral different cases investigated previously are included in this study ; the caseof a sinsle rlane wall, the case of two r>arallel r>lane walls and the cases of theoutside and inside regions of a circular cy1inder.,However small its radius is, theeffect of the inner cylinder can not be neglected.
