The long-ranged topological disorder in a screw dislocation provides a peculiarmedium for waves in solids. Influences of potential in this medium to electronicstates are investigated, A square-well potential is employed as a simple example. The potential scattering solution in this medium is successfully obtained in termsof the phase-shift analysis. The unperturbed wave function is not the plane wavebut the exact solution of the Aharonov-Bohm equation. The importance of thistopological disorder of the dislocated lattice is also illustrated in the study of thebound state; the number and position of the bound-state levels depend on thecoupling of an electron and the topological disorder.
