The total conversion coefficient of the 150.6 keV (E3) transition in the decay of 11 /2- state (T.7.=4S.6 minutes) in """Cd is determined employing a high resolutionHpGe detector system and the intensity bala?tce method. The experimentallymeasured a. is found to be 1.76-f0.08 and deviate from the theoretical value ofHager and Seltzer by (23 -l- 3)'%. The E3 hindrance with respect to the single particleestimate is determined to be 8.5 X 10'. The results arc discussed.
