• The problem of the scattering of surface wave obliquely incident on a sub-merged fixed vertical plane barrier in deep water, is solved approximately byreducing it to the solution of an integral equation. The reflection and transmissioncoefficients are obtained approximately for different values of the angle of inci-dence and wave number, and represented graphically.
