By means of X-ray diffraction measurements, it was found that RbCuC1.undergoes successive structural phase transitions at -10'C and 66'C. Superlat-tice reflections are observed at (h,k'.X/2,1) in Phase II (66'C>7'>-10'C)and at (h, k, IA,1/2) in Phase III (7'< -10'C), respectively. Phase [ (7'>66'C)is hexagonal with one of following space groups; P6./mmc, P62c and P6.mc(Z=2), and Phase II is orthorhombic with space group Pbcn (Z=4).
