Iodine surface diffusion coefficient in some Ag" ion based superionic solidfilms has been measured by observing the radial movement of iodine under ametallurgical microscope. The values of surface diffusion coefficient for Ag7[.P0.,NH.Ag.I5 and [(CH3).N].Ag.3I.. are 2x10-'cm"/sec, 6.3 x 10-'cxn'/sec and7.8 x 10-' cm'/sec, respectively at 25'C. The low value of iodine diffusion coeffi-cient for Ag.I.P0 4 , makes it a good material for film solid state battery.
