A good convergency of the semiclassical PRS method, developed recentlyby K. Takayanagi (J. Phys. S<cc, Jpn. 45 (1978) 976, referred to as I), has beenconfirmed. The straight-jine tvajcctory treatment has proved to be ,a good approxi-mation for the low-energy ton-polar molecule collision where the long-rangedipole interaction is dominant. A scaling low derived in [ is f<>und useful forpredicting rotational excitation cross sections for a large number of collisionpaurs.
