概要

• A new absorption band in uranium doped and undoped BaF. after reactorirradiation at 20 K has been observed at 778 urn. From the studies of theoptical conversion by 632.8 fUTl light from He-Ne laser and the polarizationmeasurements, it is proposed that the 778 run band can be attributed to the F.centers in BaFz.
