The variational and minimum principles are presented, using Carson transform,in the linear quasi-static theory of viscoelastic solids. The first variational andminimum principles are given for the case in which the stress-strain relations arein relaxation integral form. The second principles are given in creep integralform. In the presented principles the viscoelastic solids are allowed to be inhomo-geneous and anisotropic.
