An analytical investigation of the second order thermal boundary layer in anincompressible plane flow past a curved surface with uniform heat flux is carriedout to study the effects of body curvature and free-stream vorticity on heattransfer. The application of the present theory to heat transfer problems is shownby considering the symmetric uniform shear flow past a flat plate and the potentialflow past a circular cylinder.
