This paper deals with weakly nonlinear hydrotnagnetic waves propagatingalong an external magnetic field in a plasma of cold tons and isothermal electronsin the presence of effective electron-ion collisions. By nneans of a nonlinearperturbation method, a single equation which describes the asymptotic behaviorof the waves is derived. It is shown that this equation admits steady state solutioncorresponding to the limit shock in conventional magnetohydrodynamics.
