The nuclear spin relaxation times, T. and T., of 'He it? high density 'Hemonolayer adsorbed on Grafoil were measured by means of pulsed NMR tech-nique at temperatures between 1.2 and 4.2 K. The experimental results areinterpreted in terms of the two dimensional motion of atoms and vacancies. The coverage dependence of the formation energy of a vacancy is determined.
