In this study of metallic perovskites Mn3MX (M=meta1, X=C, N) we em-phasize the influence of the (outer) electron concentration on the sequences ofcrystallographic transitions, on the magnetic ordering temperatures and on theconstant (Pauli-type like) part of the magnetic susceptibility. A great variety ofobserved magnetic structures and transitions (including spin rotations) aredescribed for carbides and nitrides. The Labbe-Jardin tight binding model which invokes a p-d.. hybridizationbetween N and Mn orbitals having their energy levels near to the Fermi surfaceprovides the possibility of great variations of the density of states versus tempera-ture and is in qualitative agreement with experi?ment. It als;o explains that smallsubstitutions on X have a more drastical effect than those can M.
