The absorption spectra of solid benzene grown under different conditions have beenmeasured from l 100 A to 2500A. We have found that the spectrum of solid benzenegrown at high temperature (170 IC) is quite different from that of solid benzene grownat low temperature (60 K - 120 K, ). Brief discussions on the origin of the differences inthe spectra are given.
