• The measurement of the thermal expansion coefficient for LiAl. .In, system isperformed and it is found that the variation of these measured values with x has amaximum at half the composition (,v=0.5). This phenomenon seems to rise in thedeformation due to the arrangement of aluminum and indium atoms with differentatomic radii. Griineisen constants of Liln crystal are estimated to be 2.66 and 3.22 fromthe thermal expansion coefficient and specific heat.
