Thermodynamic properties of a two-dimensional system of classical electrons on the surface of a dielectric substance are investigated on the basis of an expansion with respect to the plasma parameter ε=2πne^4/T^2, where n denotes the surface number density. The correlation energy density E_c and the pressure P are calculated exactly to the order of ε: E_c/nT=2[P/nT-1]=(1/2)_ε[1n(2_ε)-1+2γ], γ=0.5772….
