Magnetic Moment of the 3^-, 1374 keV Level of ^<182>W

The reversed field method in a time-integrated directional correlation measurement has been used to determine the magnetic moment of the 3^-, 1374keV level of ^<182>W. An external magnetic field of 15kOe has been used for the perturbation of the 179-152keV cascade of -<182>W. The magnetic moment has been obtained to be μ(1374keV)=+1.74±0.16 n.m. Our measured value of the magnetic moment establishes the 1374keV level as a member of the K=2 rotation band of ^<182>W.
