Polarization Reversal in a Wide Range of Impressing Rate of Field (10^<-2>〜10^7V/cm・sec) in NaNo_2

In NaNO_2, the ferroelectric D-E hysteresis loop has been measured by the electrometer method for an impressing rate of field of 2.61 V/cm・sec and the I-E hysteresis loop in a wide range of impressing rate of field. For NaNO_2 not Pulvari-Kuebler's relation but E_c=const×S^γ holds extending over a very wide range of S of 10^<-1>∼10^6V/cm・sec, γ being 0.22. The latter relation is explained theoretically. For BaTiO_3 and triglycine sulfate the former relation is a better approximation then tha latter. A limiting value of coercive field has been shown to exist below which the spontaneous polarization would not reverse its direction, even when the field is applied for an extremely long time. This limiting value is about one hundredth of the coercive field obtained from the 50 c/s hysteresis loop.
