In the presence of an external magnetic field both classical and quantum hot electron effects are observed in the semimetal alloy Bi_<88>Sb_<12> by measuring the electric field dependence of resistivity and the Hall coefficient at 4.2°K. Strong self-magnetoresistance and self-pinching effects, characteristic of an electron-hole plasma, are believed to occur at high currents in the absence of an external magnetic field.
