Low-Lying States of Gd^<152>

The gamma rays and the internal conversion electrons following the Eu^<153>(p, 2n)Gd^<152> and Sm^<150>(α, 2n)Gd^<152> reactions were measured. The energies and the spins and parities of excited levels of Gd^<152> were determined to be 344-(2^+), 616-(0^+), 755-(4^+), 931-(2^+), 1227-(6^+), 1282-(4^+), 1668-(6^+), 1747-(8^+) and 2301-keV(10^+) from the relative gamma-ray yields and the conversion coefficients. E0 components were observed in the 616 keV, 587 keV, 527 keV and 441 keV transitions. The dimensionless ratio X of the E0-E2 mixture of 4_2^+⇾4_1^+ transitions was determined to be 0.14±0.07.
