• As stacking faults in the hcp and fcc crystals, both of growth and deformationfaults are taken into account, and, moreover, for either of these types of stackingfaults, positive and negative sequences are discriminated. Diffraction anomaliescaused by such stacking faults occurring with small probabilities are analyticallycalculated, and the results obtained are numerically examined.
