The available concentration variation on In q. data of isobaric N2-CO gas mixturesin a hot wall thermal diffusion column has been tutilised to calculate the compositiondependence of thermal diffusion factor cx. at three experimetttal temperatures 350.1,368.1 and 432.0 K. It is found that there is always an inversiccn of cz?.? as a function ofcomposition for these experimental temperatures, indicating further that this inver-sion phenomenon occurs in a well-defined temperature range 248.6 K to 610.1 K. Ifthe experimental conditions on composition and ternperature fall within the area en-closed by the inversion curve and the temperature axis, in general, N. enriches at thetop of the column; if they are outside, then N. enriches at the bottom.
