Spin-Flip Probabilities via Isobaric Analogue Resonances in ^50Ti (p, p')^50Ti Inelastic Scattering

Proton spin-flip probabilities (S(θ)) and differential cross sections in inelastic scattering (σ_<pp'>(θ)) of ^<50>Ti(p, p')^<50>Ti^* (1.55MeV, 2^+) were measured on isobaric analogue resonances at E_p=3.606MeV and 3.588MeV. Both σ_<pp'>(θ) and S(θ) showed nearly summetric angular distributions about 90° and were analyzed with a single resonance formula. Good fits were obtained. Especially S(θ) was found to be important in the investigation of the ratio of partial widths and the relative phase between partial widths in the exit channel.
