Methods for growing single crystal of Li_2Gd_4(MoO_4)_7 and a few of its physical properties have been reported here. This material is a new addition to the group of ferroelectric and paramagnetic materials. The value of its magnetic susceptibility at room temperature is 59.55×10^<-6> cm^3/g and the characteristic ferroelectric domains are observed along the c-axis.
