The effects of Joule-heating in a parallel flow of a weakly ionized gas between two flat walls are examined by expanding governing equations of the multi-component gas in power series of the electron March number. A parameter is proposed as a relevant quantity which characterizes the "two-temperature" gas. Further, the thermal boundary layer, the electric potential induced perpendicularly to walls and heat fluxes to walls due to electrons and neutrals are analysed in detail.
