Glauber's one-dimensional Ising model is extended to the case of spin S=1 by developing the time-dependent constant coupling approximation. It is shown that there exist two relaxation times. The one increases monotonically with decreasing temperature and diverges to infinity at T=0°K, but the other is very small and scarcely varies with temperature. The dynamical susceptibility is also calculated, which coincides with the rigorous one in static case.
