Energy and angular distributions of photoprotons from natural targets of Y and Zr irradiated with bremsstrahlung have been measured with nuclear emulsions. The energy distributions show similar structures to those observed for lighter nuclei. The gross structures of the energy distributions and the angular distributions suggest important contribution of photoproton groups leaving the residual nuclei in hole states to these (γ,p) reactions. The (γ,p) cross section for either target does not show any correspondence to the (γ,n) giant resonance but shows a gross resonance around 21.5 MeV. The separation of these two resonances is about 5 MeV, which can be explained on the isobaric spin splitting effect.
