The resonant frequency f of a tank circuit containing the specimen as a core plotted against y where y was 1/(√<1-(T/T_c)^4>, showed a knee irrespective of the In concentration. Such a behaviour was attributed to the appearance of eddy current loss in the specimen at temperatures above the temperature T^* where the knee occurred. This conclusion was deduced from the results of measurement of the imaginary part χ" of the ac magnetic susceptibility and the resonant frequency in an external, static, magnetic field. The magnetic field-dependence of the resonant frequency at temperatures above T^* was different form that at temperatures below T^*. At temperatures above T^*, there was a maximum followed by a minimum in the Δf-H curve, where Δf=f(0)-f(H). On the other hand Δf at temperatures below T^* was approximately quadratic in H. It was found from the measurement of the ac susceptibility that a differential paramagnetism appeared at temperatures near the critical temperature.
