Pre-Equilibrium Decay Process in Alpha Particle Induced Reactions on Thulium and Tantalum

• Alpha particle induced reactions on the target elements Thulium and Tantalum were investigated upto 60 MeV using stacked foil activation technique and Ge (Li) gamma ray spectroscopy method. Excitation functions for six reactions of ^<169>Tm(α, xn) ; x=1-4 and ^<181>Ta(α, xn) ; x=2,4 were studied. The experimental results were compared with the updated version of Hybrid model (ALICE/90) using initial exciton configuration n_0=4 (4p0h). A general agreement was found for all the reactions with this option.
