• Vibration spectra and specific heats of silver and gold have been calculated from a model propounded by Sharma and Joshi which includes the effect of conduction electrons on lattice vibration in metals. The calculated values of C_v are compared with available experimental data by plotting the corresponding Debye characteisitc temperature θ as a function of absolute temperature; the results are briefly discussed.
