The nature of heat transfer in the flow of a second order fluid near a stagnation point has been studied. The study covers both the two-dimensional and axi-symmetric cases. The effects of cross-viscosity and elastico-viscosity on temperature are found to depend upon dimensionless numbers k(=(αβ)/α) and R(=(αγ)/α) respectively. Here 'a' is a fluid flow parameter while α,β and γ are kinematic coefficients of viscosity, elastico viscosity and cross-viscosity respectively.
