Magnetization and magnetic anisotropy were measured for intermediately ordered 22 at% Mn-Ni single crystals. The magnetic behavior was interpreted in terms of superparamagnetism. Initial susceptibility follows the Curie-W'eiss law above 200°K. Remanent magnetization is smaller than 10 gauss both at 296°K and 77°K. The volume of a ferromagnetic cluster is estimated at 1.46×10^<-19>cm^3 before rolling. It was found that saturation magnetization increases about 20% until it takes a maximum at 25% of roll reduction in thickness, then decreases monotonically. Torque curve shows rotational hysteresis, which does not vanish up to 13.6kOe of the applied field. Because of an anomalous field dependence of the crystal anisotropy, the value of K_1 cannot be determined exactly, but it is estimated that its sign is positive and the order of magnitude is 10^3erg/cm^3.
