Electrical resistivity, Hall coefficient and thermoelectric power have been measured for the β-, β'- and ζ-phases in the silver-zinc system to obtain same informations about their electronic structures. The resistivity of the C-phase is very much close to that of the ζ-phase but is fairly different from that of the β'-phase. The Hall coefficient and the thermoelectric power of the ζ-phrase have been observed to be fairly apart from those of both β- and β'- phases. Especially, the Hall coefficient at room temperature changes into a positive value from a negative one in the β'→ζtransition. These results imply that the ζ-phase would be stabilized by the reduction of Fermi energy due to the interaction between the Fermi surface and the Brillouin zone boundaries. Furthermore, the specific heat measurements have been made to give us quantitative knowledge about the energy and the entropy of these three phases. The results have lead a conclusion that the internal energy of the ζ-phase is lower than that of the β'-phase by 1.4×10^<-2> eV/atom.
