By an electron microscope Brindley, Comer, Uyeda and Zussman (Acta Cryst. 11 (1958), 99) found fringes corresponding to superlattice of about 90Å spacing in antigorite. We tried to use the fringes for magnification calibration of electron microscopes. In this paper the trial and new observations in the course of the trial are shortly described.
