The 'world of everyday life' which forms the basis of our social interaction has subject-individuality. It is refered to as subjective-reality in Phenomenology and as 'psychic-reality' in Psychoanalysis. On the other hand, by means of concept 'intersubjectivity', Phenomenology insists that the subjective-world is an intersubjective-world. According to this naive intersubjectivity-theory, our 'world of everyday life' essentially has a socially stable basis. But we know from experience that our common sense is fragile and unreliable. This fragility comes from the fact that intersubjectivity-theory can not always conquer the subject-individuality of psychic-reality. But as a more fundamental problem, we must focus on the fact that our everyday common sense are open to the negation-possibility. In social interaction, this negation-possibility of knowledge orients us to meta-communication, contributing to the constitution of a more generalized expectation structure and to the development of cognitive ability. But due to this cognitive development, Knowledge is opened to a more extensive environment, thereby increasing its complexity and uncertainty. That is to say, according to cognitive development which is one of the results of socialization, we experience the intersubjective-world as an indefinite world which we can not be sure of. Socialization, in short, has an ambivalent character; one side is constituted by the intersubjective-world which is the meaning basis of social interaction, and the other side produces the cognitive mode which causes us to experience the intersubjective-world as fragile. A society comprised of socialized people, however, serves the codified or instituted expectation structure as the interaction basis instead of 'intersubjectivity'. Focusing on this point implies a change in perspective from regarding this society as an 'intersubjective society' to a 'symbiotic society'.
